I'm writing a reply to my own review. I added a bit more pumpkin. After the soup sat in the fridge overnight, it did thicken a bit. The creme fraiche tones down the spicy. I loved it and more importantly my guests loved it. As always, Bobby's presentation techniques make the dish look spectacular. Sorry, Bobby, for the bad review. I take it back....

I planned to serve this soup tomorrow for lunch. I need to remake it with another recipe. It calls for too much water/stock. I tried adding more pumpkin but nothing changed. There is too much chipoltes puree. It masks the taste of the soup. I tried his method for toasting pumpkins seeds and ended up with a greasy mess. Normally, I relay on Bobby but...
