Reviewed penne with asparagus and cherry tomatoes (spring)

This is a family favorite of ours. We like to serve it with Giada's Chicken Parmesan. Sometimes I find that the tomatoes don't all burst while cooking. Don't cook them too long waiting for them to burst or else the asparagus and peas start to get soggy. We always use frozen peas, too, and it still turns out delicious!

Love the chicken recipe and have made it several times for my family. It doesn't take very long to cook the chicken. I've never made the tomato sauce though...I'm sure it's good, but I use the jarred stuff (blasphemy!) so that dinner doesn't take forever to make. We serve the chicken with Giada's Penne with Asparagus and Cherry Tomatoes.

This was tasty. It wasn't very cajun-y, but we still like the flavor. We used Johnsonville andouille sausage, and next time I will just use ground pork sausage (the andouille we used was just too processed-looking after cooking. I will cut back a little on the rice next time also...seemed like it overwhelmed the veggies. I loved the idea of microwaving...
