I'm really surprised that you implied agave nectar was a better sweetener than sugar because it's natural. It's actually processed much like high-fructose corn syrup with enzymes and chemicals to converts the starch into a fructose-rich syrup—anywhere from 70 percent fructose and higher. Since sugar is about half fructose, it may actually be the better...
