"Ok. I have to say I make this soup several times during the holiday season and it had been my claim to fame for a few years. My all time fabvorite one was following the receipe to a tee with the following substitutions to make the soup cheaer, easier, healthier and flavorful:
Reduced Fat Canadian Bacon instead of Pancetta
