Replied to Dirty P's Garlic-Ginger Chicken Thighs Recipe : Guy Fieri : Food Network

Jan 25, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

If you change the recipe you should not speak negatively about it - at least if you change it more than just a very little bit. That's because maybe the recipe was great as written, but you screwed it up with your changes. If you make it as written, and don't like it, then a negative comment is warranted because you are commenting about the actual...

Replied to Corn and Poblano Lasagna

Yes, a salad ... or stick with the Mexican theme and go with refried beans, Mexican rice, spicy pickled carrots, black beans, Mexican cornbread, or calabacitas guisada (stewed Mexican zucchini.)

This was wonderful with some lime juice added after serving. I even left off the monterey jack cheese and didn't miss it at all (and I love cheese, but am trying to cut back.) I added some minced garlic to the onions and poblano, just because I am apparently incapable of cooking onions without garlic, but it wasn't necessary. I used chipotle chile"

Just like my Mamma makes. I add a little vinegar to mine at the table, but the rest of my family prefers them with hot pepper sauce (vinegar that has a hot pepper or two soaking in it.)

Please note, the House Seasoning calls for 1 cup salt, 1/4 cup pepper and 1/4 cup garlic .. that makes 1 1/2 cups of the seasoning mixture. You...

Reviewed Pork Tenderloin with Chipotle-Maple Mop

Very good. For the mop, I didn't have sherry vinegar, so used red wine vinegar. And I didn't have chipotle chile hot sauce, so just chopped up an equal amount of chipotle chiles in adobo sauce. I will be making this again.""

I used just a drizzle of honey, and still found it a little too sweet. Thought the sauce tasted too strongly of wine, though that might be because I didn't add all of the honey. Definitely recommend using a cheaper cut of meat, because to me the genious of the crockpot is that slow cooking the meat makes even the cheapest cut tender.

My husband made this for me, pan-fried on the stove, and it was tender and delicious. Served with a veggie side dish and salad. This recipe is on this website twice, but the other one uses boneless, skinless chicken breasts. For diet reasons I might try skinless next time. I love the skin, but this has enough flavor that I think it will still...

My husband made the Oysters Rockefeller and they were delicious. He substituted kale for spinach (because that's what we had, omitted the Pernod (I don't care for licorice flavor), and added a small amount of bacon (would have been good with or without the bacon. He did not make the Mignonette Sauce, but instead we just dribbled a bit of lemon juice...
