You may have cooked the gravy too long and broke the roux, making it loose its thickness! I have made this every year and have never had it not be thick enough! Do you really believe that Tyler would put his name on a gravy that doesn't get thick....and all of these 5 star reviewers don't expect a thick rich gravy?

How people can say a gravy with 12 ingredients has no flavor is beyond me! I love this recipe! We like to deep fry our turkey, thus leaving us with no drippings for the gravy. Tyler solved this problem with this gravy plus it can be made ahead of time making that last half hour before serving much less stressed! People...there is a reason why...

This is delicious! I was raised by my Bavarian German mother and we had this weekly! I did cut back on the sugar and added some dill and chopped parsley. I have no idea why anyone worried about the egg in the dressing. You just whisk as you pour it over the hot bacon and onions til it gets thick. Too much vinegar in the egg to turn into scram...

The lemon gave this some nice bite but WAY too strong! Next time I make this I will cit lemon and zest in half. I did not have enough cream on hand and substituted cream cheese for half a cup of cream...loved it...just need to get that lemon under control! It has potential to be an awesome Alfredo!"
