Delicious, and easy. Instead of canned chicken broth, I use chicken stock that I make myself, a leftover from making Tyler Florence's Ultimate Chicken and dumplings. I make this soup about once a month and it gives me and my wife about three meals. Avocado makes a nice garnish."

Reviewed Baked French Toast Casserole with Maple Syrup

I have made this dish a half dozen times over the past couple years and it is a hit every time. One thing I do additional to the recipe is to flip the bread pieces before baking so that the tops are just as moist as the bottoms. otherwise the top can get too dry. The liquid pools at the bottom of the baking dish during the overnight soak."
