"Absolutely the best! So easy and fast to make. My husband, who insists on huge portions of meat for dinner every night, said this soup would be wonderful on its own for dinner. That is no faint praise, believe me. I didn't tweek anything at all, I followed the recipe to the letter."
Reviewed Uncle Wilson's Grilled Onions
"I can't honestly review this recipe. Like at least one other reviewer, my onions didn't cook after 1 1/2 hours in the oven, first at 350, then cranked up to 400. The onions were hard and the bacon still raw. I will try to salvage them tonight by cooking some more. If I get a good result, I will post a revised review. Keep your fingers crossed"
My husband and I both love to cook and to watch foodnetwork. I sell baked goods to friends. I am the only person I know with 4 bread machines, and at times they are all plugged in and chugging away!! Barbeque is another of our favorites. We also grow a large vegetable garden every summer and enjoy the fresh produce tremendously. What we can't eat right away, we preserve by canning. As you can see, we spend a lot of time in the kitchen and a lot of time outdoors.
