I halved the recipe since I only needed it for 4. Couldn't find tart cherries so used sweet cherries and omitted the sugar. All the topping sank into the cherries and had very little crunchy topping. Next time may cook the cherries for awhile so they thaw and sink down and then add topping. Taste was excellent even without the crunchy topping"
