"Not a fan of tarragon or red onions, so I subbed dill and green onions... and my crappy grocery store's fresh tuna looked anything but, so I actually used wild Alaskan smoked salmon. "This is a wonderful recipe. It's a process, with the steps in the prep, but it's delicious and worth it. Slight changes I made were that I used zucchini instead of parsnips because I'm not a fan, and i added a bit of rosemary because I also added ground lamb.... shhhhhhhh. I don't really eat meat often, which is why I originally chose this recipe, so I'm sure this would be just as rich and filling without it. I will definitely make this again. "

"Ok, I've been making this recipe for a year now and finally feel it's time to rate it. I always slightly modify it, as I do any recipe I follow, but it doesn't take away from the base of it. It's delicious. And everyone I have ever made it for will say the same. It may be a bit time-consuming, but every minute of it is well worth it. Tonight I made it with bay scallops instead of oysters, so if you're not an oyster fan, know that alternatives work just as well, if not better.
