"The pie was wonderful. The negative reviews are confusing. My pies have not been runny at all. However, I substitute flour for cornstarch. You simply double the amount if using flour. This may help for those who dislike cornstarch. As a Southerner raised by an early 20th Century cook, the concept of cornstarch eludes me when it comes to pies"
