Reviewed Risotto With Yogurt and Peas

"Not the best risotto recipe I've ever made, but it's decent. Turns out very creamy and the peas are a nice addition. I think part of the problem is the yogurt, the end product ends up slightly bitter/sour and was blander than I expected. I had no parmesan rind, so that maybe would have helped boost the flavor some. Again, not bad, but not grea"

Reviewed Lightened Shrimp Fried Rice

"As the other reviewer mentioned, this recipe takes longer than it says it will. The recipe itself is pretty good, but not great. The shrimp and veggies are tasty, but the rice/sauce itself is pretty bland and a little dry. I added more soy, but that wasn't enough. I'm not sure what it needs more of, but it needs something. "

Reviewed Sunday Night Roast Beef and Gravy with Easy Rice

"Unintentionally overcooked it (mine took more like 1 hour than 2), and it was still really good. The only thing I changed was adding garlic slivers to the fat layer and the onions in the bottom. Very flavorful, as was the gravy. Very good."

Reviewed Sweet Potato Hash

"Fantastic. Makes more than 2 servings, for sure, but the leftovers will probably be great. Also, if it helps, it took about 12 minutes in my oven (since there's no time specified in the recipe)

Reviewed Cheese-Stuffed Pork Chops

"I really shouldn't rate this since I had to change so much (chicken & turkey bacon instead of chops, random mix of greens instead of escarole), but I can say that the flavors are very, very good. I was a little leery of the sage with everything, but I was totally wrong. Very flavorful!

Reviewed Chicken Drummettes with Asian Slaw

"Made it with wings. Wings were spicy, but not particularly memorable. Asian slaw dressing was wayy too sour- ended up adding a decent amount more sugar and olive oil. After the alterations, it turned out pretty well.

Reviewed Grilled Pork Tenderloin with Spicy Chile-Coconut Tomato Salad

"This recipe turns out even better than it sounds. The only change I made was that I couldn't find lemongrass, so I substituted half lemon juice for some of the lime juice. The salad is especially suprising, I was worried it would be too acidic or spicy, but it was perfect, especially with the coconut sauce on it to tone everything down. Also, I'm thinking serving it with rice to soak up the extra sauce (as others mentioned, it makes a ton), and maybe use pork chops to speed it up...
