Scalloped oysters are a Thanksgiving tradition for my family and Paula's recipe is everyone's favorite. Thinking of adding a layer of sauteed, thinly-sliced fennel to it this year, just to mix things up... we'll see how it goes. : )

Are you sure you're buying a turkey that hasn't been injected with a saline solution already? Brining an already-brined bird is a common mistake with this recipe.
