My Activity

Reviewed Jalapeno Cheddar Cornbread

"The only reason I didn't give these a 5 was because I didn't have that "Oh my Gosh!" reaction that I'm used to with Ina's recipes. I'm also not a big bread eater. However, they went over well at the potluck I took them to and they seemed even better the next day when I heated a few leftovers in the microwave. Like some other folks, I made individu""

Reviewed Lemon Chicken Breasts

"I have yet to make one of Ina's recipes that failed. After making this all I could think was how does something so simple taste so good??!!! Reviewed Black Bean Salad

"This was so good that only half of it made it to the 'fridge to "chill for 1 hour"! Thanks to the many who said it's OK to sub red wine vinegar. The pineapple really makes the dish...who'd have thought?? Excellent dish and it's easy to tweek as needed.

Reviewed Fried Chicken

"I'm a great cook, but fried chicken is something I could never seem to master. But this is an AWESOME recipe!! The crunch, the moistness, the little "twang" from the buttermilk (I think)...this is my new go-to recipe for fried chicken. I agree with everyone else on the cooking temp. Kept mine around medium-low and it came out great. It even kept its crispness after 3 hours in the fridge!!

Reviewed Beatty's Chocolate Cake

"Promised a double chocolate cake for Thanksgiving. Packed my ingredients and headed to Mom's WITHOUT my usual recipe. Found this one instead and it was awesome. Moist, rich...wonderful. I substituted Hershey's DARK cocoa in the batter and used with a different buttercream recipe. RAVE REVIEWS from my family. Thanks again, Ina!
