Made for dinner last night & both elements were VERY tasty !! Used spice substitute for the Ras el Hanout and loved the flavors. Only downer was thew lentils in the rice , found they made the rice gummy and next time will probably leave them out .

Made for dinner last night and found both the stew & rice elements VERY tasty . Followed Rachael's suggestion for substituting For Ras el Hanout and the spices worked very well . My only downer was the lentils in the rice it gummy and I think the next time will leave it out . There is plenty of protein already .

So I'm a little late to the party. Picked up on the lack of salt and added 1/2 tsp. Also agree the veggies should be cooked and added to the batter to avoid the 'Bottom of the Pan Syndrome' . How about a tsp. of Chili Powder in the batter to kick up the heat. The outcome was delicious, moist and I'm looking forward to leftovers. PS isgo60_whatever...

As previously noted not enough water in brine to dissolve salt, I added another cup but will note to increase to 4 cups for next run. A super meatloaf !!! As many others have commented the sauce is the BOMB. My solution to no ground veal was ground chicken , also I subbed ground bison for the beef.
This will be my go to recipe from now on."

Followed the recipe and sides to the tee and loved it !! Sauce was just right. Added Boiled Corn on the Cob, simple dressed with butter and pepper for a starch. Super dinner"

As good as I have ever cooked or tasted. My only regret is I only did 1 chicken. I also used only 3 cups of buttermilk in thee marinade & iot was more than adequate. Will definitely be doing this again !!!"
