Update after making. Recipe did not work out in the "brittle" sense. Would not harden. Since I heated properly and even reheated to try again, I have to assume I did something wrong on ingredients. I would user thicker cut bacon if I try again.

Took this to a halloween work potluck, since it looked so orange and fun. Most people liked it a lot, and a few thought it was too strange, but they were definitely not adventurous eaters. For me, it was visually and texturally fantastic, and the flavor was good but subtle. I might try it again with a little red chili paste in the dressing to punch...

Killer dish for our over-the-top Thanksgiving party at friends' house. I prep all ahead at home and finish in friends' oven when we get there. After the first year, nobody whined about using a little oven space while the turkey rests.

I was afraid I'd overcooked it a little because my weber went up to 450 for 10 mins or so before I noticed and damped it down. It came out great anyway, with moist and tender breastmeat.
