Absolutely outstanding! A quite sophisticated recipe, with a wonderful balance of flavor layers. Followed it to a 'T'. Cannot wait to make this again. I had the 'filling' all ready in a bowl large enough to hold and toss all the clams. As the clams opened on the grill I removed them right into the bowl. Yummmmooooo Another terrific recipe from...

Reviewed chicken tetrazzini casserole with cauliflower

Mar 11, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

I agree that there is some flavor deficiency but this really isn't a full robust flavor dish. I read a lot of the reviews and combined some into my final version which we fully enjoyed. I used some thinly sliced roasted red peppers (1/4 C) added with the onion mixture. Rather than do the poaching for chick and stock I seasoned 2 chicken breasts...

I don't see why you couldn't. Just don't put the topping on until you are ready to reheat.

This is a really really good soup. I did use a lot less lemon but otherwise I followed the recipe. At the end add the lemon to your taste. I also served as suggested with the orzo in the bowl and soup on top. The leftovers the next day were phenomenal. Can't wait to make this again.

Good, simple recipe. I'm anxious to make it with the proper amt of mashed bananas. I was 1/4 C short and used fruit cocktail to make up the cup measurement. Surprisingly it worked out just fine. I wanted to use applesauce but didn't have any.....or I may just always make it this way!

The reason I did not give this a 5* is because it takes a lot longer for the chicken to cook than the recipe lists. If you were using chicken without bone it probably would be done in the time given. I too, used Turmeric as a substitute for the saffron. The flavors were amazing!"

Flavor was delish. This recipe would have been a 5 star except for being too watery as others mentioned. With that in mind I took a precautionary intervention and dusted all the beef in flour before browning in the oil. THAT did the trick! Followed the recipe to a T otherwise. My family and I loved it! IT'S A KEEPER!"
