Reviewed Arugula, Caramelized Onion and Goat Cheese Pizza

Jan 22, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

What a wonderful and healthy twist on pizza! I didn't have arugula so I used baby spinach, added some minced garlic. After I baked it, I added sliced grape tomatoes and chopped parsley. Topped with a drizzle of balsamic vinegar, this was truly an amazing dish!

Reviewed Lasagna Rolls

This is a real crowd pleaser--good home-style lasagna, but more elegant. The individual rolls are actually quite easy to make. I thought I would have difficulty in rolling up each noodle, but the oil prevented any sticking. I omitted the prosciutto to make it vegetarian friendly, and replaced it with diced mushrooms sauteed with olive oil, salt, pepper,...

Rich, hearty, and creamy--what more can you ask for? Another great thing about this dish is that because there are so many yummy layers/ingredients, even a couple of mistakes won't ruin this dish. Reviewed Pumpkin Banana Mousse Tart

Dec 29, 2010 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I follow this recipe to a T every Thanksgiving, and the results are perfect every time. I've never had a problem with texture or flavors. Neither the banana or orange are overpowering and provide nice complements to a traditional pumpkin pie. And the crust could not be easier! No flour, no rolling, no chilling, no kneading! The one alteration I make...

Reviewed Parmesan Smashed Potatoes

Dec 29, 2010 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Best mashed potatoes recipe ever! My family special requests this dish every Thanksgiving and Christmas. I add a few cloves of minced garlic and dried or fresh thyme to add even more flavor. Keeping the skins on the potatoes provides a thick texture, the parmesan adds a nice salty bite, and the sour cream gives the potatoes a luxurious silkiness....

Reviewed Gingerbread Waffles

Dec 29, 2010 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

These waffles are simple to make and delicious. For those who thought the waffles were too dense/thick, I agree that the batter seems too thick, but once they're cooked, they taste just delicious. I set my waffle maker to a medium heat setting, and served the waffles with a homemade berry & peach sauce, topped with fresh whipped cream. My family couldn't...
