Just the right amount of the chewy fudgey factor which makes it a keeper chocolate cookie recipe at my house. The recipe called for 1 tablespoon of vanilla which I thought was a misprint so I added 1 teaspoon of vanilla instead. Taking this a little more heart-healthy and therefore low sodium, I left out the pancetta and salt, and added instead 1/2 lb ground turkey breast and 1/2 lb Italian seasoned ground turkey. I also used no-sodium chicken stock. Very satisfying, even for my meat-loving hubby. Very worthwhile!"

Totally worth the multiple sifting steps. This cake literally melts in your mouth. I served it with macerated strawberries and blueberries using a packet of sweetener per my husband's and my serving. Loved the ease and functionality of this recipe. As was suggested by another reviewer I diced the peaches and added them to the batter. I added 1 cup of diced peaches but will add more next time. I plan on trying blueberries or diced apples. I encountered no problems. Its a new favorite!"
