My Activity

Reviewed Parmesan Chicken

"This is Perfect. Really. Perfection. You have to change nothing at all with this recipe. The trick with the chicken is to fry it on just-under-medium heat, like medium-low, so it doesn't burn the outside while your waiting for the interior to cook through. It is the perfect way to make this. I have seen Parmesan encrusted chicken breasts done"

Reviewed Guacamole

"Like another reviewer wrote here. Add one or two jalapenos, seeds removed and diced, and then omit the hot sauce; then and some chopped cilantro and it's perfect. In California we need it a little more authentic and flavorful. Good base recipe though."

Reviewed Black Pepper Biscuits

"Great biscuits!!!! Too much for my large food processor to handle so I had to take it out and mix it by hand. It worked out fine, just don't over mix or over kneed!""

Reviewed 6 Hour Tri-tip Marinade

"This was a good marinade and made the meat very tender, which is crucial with a tri-tip, as they tend to be chewy and tough. But after reading all the reviews I expected a phenomenal marinade. It was good, not phenomenal. The problem was that it was a bit on the sweet side, which was surprising. I followed the recipe to a T, no substitutions. ""

Reviewed Chicken Stew

"Great recipe. Add a little flavor by adding more herbs and spices, And if you don't like kidney beans... add white beans instead, right from the can but drain and rinse first. White beans make this dish amazing!"

Reviewed Chocolate Ganache Cupcakes

"The whole point of this recipe was that Ina made them with a spoon of instant coffee mixed into the batter. She had a whole episode on her show about this -- how the coffee totally changed the taste for the better, so why it was omitted from this web printed version is a mystery. "

Reviewed Green Salad with Creamy Mustard Vinaigrette

"Great, but it needs just a little more vinegar, or add in a bit of fresh lemon juice, or both... as the tang was too mild. Also, use a tablespoon of mayo if you don't want to use a raw egg. It'll give it a creamy texture. Very good!"
