Reviewed Cream of Fresh Tomato Soup

Oct 26, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

i made this recipe and it turned out perfect. i substituted 2% milk for the cream, simply because i didn't have any cream in the fridge but it didn't matter--the taste is still sublime. it was soooo easy to make. when i got done cooking the ingredients, i saw where the recipe calls for a food mill which i don't have (shoulda read the recipe...

this cake is beautiful! it's a hit every time i make it; i followed the instructions just as written, except i do tweak the baking time just a little (downward by a couple of minutes) to adjust to my oven temp. the butter rum sauce is to die for; we heat it in the microwave when serving leftover cake. if you like cranberries, this is a great r...

Reviewed Creme Brulee

Dec 24, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

i have made many creme brulee recipes over the years, including some from food network. without a doubt, this one knocked it out of the park! easy breezy, best texture out of all the many ones i've tried. i don't have the shallow ramekins like the ones ina used, mine are the taller ones, so my baking time was 60 minutes. also, since i was ser...

great stuff! we used turkey sausage because we bought the wrong thing but it still turned out good. so simple & easy to make. at first, we didn't think we had enough dressing but it was so tangy that it was plenty. this recipe is definitely a keeper!""

loved it, giada! so easy to prepare, so tasty. also have made it with bacon (pancetta isn't easy to find where we live, poured off the grease, and it was still wonderful. a quick and tasty way to dress up rice. keep the ideas coming!"

so easy & tasty! my husband described it as "refreshing!" we'll make this again and again. having read the other reviews, i omitted the lemon juice, didn't miss it a bit. i served it with grilled chicken breast sliced over the top. since i didn't see giada make it on tv and her directions didn't mention what to do with the 1 cup of pasta wate"

beautiful presentation. i left off garlic so g'kids would eat it. one suggestion--take out a wee bit early because the bread continues to cook as it cools in the pan. this would have made it easier to remove from the pan, and it would have been more tender. otherwise, a lovely dish and easy, festive dish.

this is wonderful--the champagne vinegar makes all the difference. and so easy! i used an old trick i learned in cooking school a few years ago--you roast the asparagus a couple of hours before your dinner party, then cover with foil and sit on the counter. a few minutes before serving, remove foil and heat up again for a few minutes--5 or 6 minutes...

very easy to make, although next time i think i will omit dried cherries AND add a little more sugar. the results were beautiful--baked exactly 20 minutes--perfect! served them with purchased (sigh)caramel sauce for extra sweetening. i couldn't get the puff pastry dough to stretch to 12 x 12, so my square was 11 x 11, but it seemed to work just...
