Holier than thou attitudes are not helpful, especially when you didn't even try the recipe. Some people just have to put others down to feel superior.

Replied to red velvet cake

A red velvet cake isn't supposed to be a chocolate cake. My mother was from the south and she used some kind of cocoa that would turn a kind of red when you put acid with it hence the vinegar and buttermilk. In the south beets were used to color it more red.

Not mixing the meatloaf enough is why the thing fell apart.

Made this last night and after letting it sit in the fridge for 4 hours tried some.Found it to be way too strong.I had used Pennsylvania sweet onions, which are vidalias grown locally and may be stronger than the regular vidalias I took about 1/4 cup of the dip and mixed it with 1/4 cup of sour cream and it was much better except it still had a s"

This is a good recipe when you want to make a few roll ups and use the other filo for spinach pies or something. I have a small family and a whole tray of baklava is too much for us. Use real butter though, makes it better. "

My mom was from the south and this was a family favorite. My mom made this in the winter time from the peaches she canned over the summer. She didn't like to bake in the summertime so she would make peaches and dumplings (fluffy and sweetened dumplings) which is almost the same thing only cooked on top of the stove for about 20 minutes. Thanks for"

I didn't care for the pickles in the yokes.I also didn't have Paula's paprika blend and you didn't give a hint what's in it. To make your eggs easier to peel, steam the eggs instead of boiling them. For large eggs you steam them for 10 minutes then plunge into cold water to stop them from overcooking (yucky gray rings) and you get tender eggs that"

I don't know what I did wrong, but wrong it went. The cake overflowed and made a burned mess at the bottom and racks in the oven. What stayed in the bundt pan fell which might have happened when I opened the oven to see what was burning. I'm so glad that I used an oven liner. The cake that was in the pan stuck because of the overflow but I did get"

I have made these 4 times and they turned out great 3 times. The difference was that I used parchment paper on those successful cookies. I also found that sometimes the eggs are bigger and I have to add a little more coconut to it so it's less runny. The one time it was bad was when I put them directly on the cookie sheets after I greased and flou"

I have been looking for a pineapple upside down cake that was like my moms and this was it. Not too sweet with a cake that holds up to the pineapple and brown sugar topping. The cake part was easy, so don't use that boxed cake mix that makes it too sweet. I did cheat a little and used canned pineapple in juice, but it was still great."
