Reviewed crunch top apple pie

Oct 14, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

We had a ton of apples from apple picking so we first made Ina Garten's Homemade Applesauce and used it in this recipe. We did leave out the lemon juice in the pie recipe because the applesauce was lemony enough and it came out PERFECT!!

Reviewed no pie crust spinach pie

I used Pillsbury pie crust on bottom layer, pre-cooked. Browned onion and garlic added crumbled hot chicken sausage without casing to spinach mix. Everything else by the recipe...Perfect!!

Reviewed corn and asparagus salad

May 14, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

This was a delicious, light and easy side dish. I didn't have red onion or fresh basil so I added chopped jalapeo and it was so yummy!! I also reduced the sugar to about 1 tablespoon and reduced the vinegar by about 1/2. This was the perfect amount of dressing for 4 ears of corn and 1 bunch of asparagus.

Reviewed Chicken Piccata Pasta Toss

Jul 23, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Excellent sauce! I followed recipe exactly and it was just enough for about 1/2 lb of pasta. If you are making a whole pound I would double the sauce. I used thin sliced breasts cut into pieces and it was very tender. Next time I think I'll try keeping the breasts whole, bread and fry them, then pour the sauce over chicken and pasta. Really good "

Delicious and so easy! I used all dried herbs and spices, cut amounts in half since I wasn't making as much shrimp as recipe calls for, and it came out so yummy!!"

Reviewed Spicy Kale and Corn Stuffed Chicken Breasts

Jun 14, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This was really yummy! The cheese helped keep the kale and corn from falling out during cooking. The sauce is a plus, it adds an extra flavor. I wouldn't call this "spicy" though next time I may add some jalapeno to the stuffing or a little hot sauce! I served it with Guy's Crispy Kale Chips with Lemon and it went perfectly...it was a good way to "

Awesome marinade! Would also go great on chicken or steak. I doubled all ingredients and it came out perfect for two thick tuna steaks. A little spicy so if you don't like too much heat keep the jalapeno to 1/2. I served it over just a bed of arugula and had enough to pour over as dressing. It was so quick and easy...keeper!"

Reviewed Roasted Butternut Squash Ravioli with a Sage Brown Butter Sauce

Mar 14, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

So, I admit I cheated...I bought Rozzano brand Butternut Squash ravioli. I chopped and browned some Pancetta and steamed some fresh asparagus. Once the butter was browned I added asparagus for just a minute to coat then poured on top of ravioli then sprinkled on Pancetta (or plain bacon works too) and Parmesan...OMG absolutely delicious!!!! Reviewed Filet Mignon with Mushrooms and Sauce Pinot Noir

Jan 29, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Really good!! I too only added a cup of Pinot and really let it reduce down. I didn't feel the bacon was necessary and I was correct it was awesome without it. I did use the demi glace and I think it really added another level of flavor and helped thicken the sauce a bit. Definitely saving to the recipe box!!"

Reviewed Skillet Rosemary Chicken

Jan 5, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Absolutely delicious and very simple. I didn't have enough fresh rosemary so I also mixed in some dried Herbes De Provence and it was awesome! I used my Lodge dutch oven (every kitchen should have one) and the chicken was so moist and juicy. It did take a little longer to cook but did not dry out at all. We love mushrooms so I added some more and "
