My Activity

Reviewed Avocado Dressing

"I wasn't very impressed with this as written. It tasted strongly of mayo and the avocado was lost. I added 2 additional avocados some extra lemon and a good amount of fresh cilantro and then it was quite delicious! I ate some of it as a dip (it's very thick and then thinned it out with a little milk and put it on a salad. It was awesome as a salad"

Reviewed Broiled Salmon with Herb Mustard Glaze

"As other reviewers have stated, this is a little too "sharp" as is. I added a small dollop of honey, though, and it was perfect. The herbs go really nicely with the fish and are perfect in this glaze, definitely make sure they are fresh for a nice bright flavor. I will make this again!"

Reviewed Chewy Sugar Cookies

"These were just what I was looking for, a dough that I didn't have to roll out and cut that yielded soft, slightly chewy sugar cookies with a subtle vanilla sugar flavor. The dough was easy to work with, I rolled it into balls and pressed them out almost to the thickness I wanted them to be, they really didn't spread much at all. My cookies were m"

Reviewed Simply Delicious Strawberry Cake

"This came out really excellent but I admit I didn't follow the recipe 100%. I skipped the Strawberry jello because while researching online I found lots and lots of reviews that said jello adds a significant artificial taste. Instead, I added a couple of tablespoons of flour and some extract (I used raspberry because I didn't have strawberry and i""

Reviewed Espresso Brownies

"These taste awesome! I used instant espresso powder and the espresso flavor in the brownies is very subtle however the espresso flavor in the glaze is much more pronounced which makes for a real nice overall mocha flavor. I used a 12x8 inch brownie pan and 1 batch of the glaze was not enough to cover it all so I made another batch and had some lef""

Reviewed Lentil Soup

"With just a couple of tweaks this is an awesome soup! I add a little more cumin and coriander than called for and also add in a little smoked paprika. I like cooking some fresh garlic with the veggies and when the grocer's tomatoes are disappointing and flavorless I use a can of petit diced tomatoes, tastes just as good. The flavor of this soup is""

Reviewed Seared Scallops Served with a Truffled Potato Sauce and Warm Potato Relish

"I made this for my mom on Mother's Day and it was good but neither one of us was blown away. I was slightly disappointed in the sauce, the truffle oil gave it a lot of wonderful depth however the chicken broth flavor was way too pronounced. I used Swanson's low sodium chicken broth, perhaps a different brand would be better. Next time I will use h"
