Reviewed Slow-cooked Chicken

Feb 10, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Made this tonight, it was amazing! I read the reviews before hand and cooked on high for 2 hours, low for 4 hours. It fell off the bone, didn't even need to carve the chicken! It had lots of flavor and was super moist. I made the gravy as the recipe called for (I strained the veggies out first), but I didn't need the gravy because the chicken "

I made this for a graduation party. It was a hit! It can "attack" you though, so I added a can of 7-Up to dilute it a bit and add some carbonation. I had to share this one with guests from the party, they liked it so much."

Made these for Valentine's day, yum! Rich from the batter, but the white chocolate provides a nice balance. I used white chips, grocery store didn't have white chocolate bars. I only had salted butter on hand, and I still added the kosher salt the recipe called for. Added a subtle salty bite when you lick your lips. Yum! I will make these a...

Yum! Used 16 oz frozen corn since it's not in season now. I will likely fry the bacon separately next time as I didn't like seeing the bacon fat in the soup. I tried to make this healthier. I did use fat free half and half, and fat free chicken stock. I didn't feel like I was robbed of any flavor. Peppers and onions offered great taste and ...

Reviewed White Chocolate Cherry Chunkies

Feb 12, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I like this recipe, but I did change it a bit. The first time I made it, I used dried cranberries instead of cherries. I realized the batter was very thick and chunky, so I changed the nuts, cranberries and white chips to 1/2 cup each. It's a priceless cookie that I often include in my Christmas time cookies.""

I love an easy meal like this. This was so delicious! My family loved it. Good left overs too, just be sure to cover the meat with the sauce when you save the extras, if you have extras left!""

Great wings! Not too spicy, just enough heat. I used Frank's Red Hot sauce. The men and the ladies liked them, a read crowd pleaser. Definitely making these again!""

Yummy and rich. I will make these again, and again. I wouldn't change a thing! Side note: use a 13x9 pan for this dish. I had used a oval corningware dish and the potatoes didn't cook, so I transferred to a 13x9 dish and they cooked in no time. ""

This is a keeper. The only thing I changed, the quantity of potatoes, I made a half batch as I was only serving 4 people for dinner. Very moist, flavorful and filling. Ree was right, the butter seems like a lot, but once you do the math it's only 2 T per potato. I will definitely make these again!""

Very tasty and refreshing. My only gripe, the amount of soda is not listed. I wanted to make a pitcher of this for a party and had to just eye ball it one can of soda at a time while tasting in between. I made a pitcher of 10 drinks and it took about 3 cans of Sprite.""

I got a lot of compliments on this recipe. I made one adult version with sliced mushrooms, and a kid version with finely chopped mushrooms. Both were delicious. When I cooked the chopped mushrooms, I did need more butter though. My onions also burned. It wasn't worth the extra work for me to have them burn, so I will likely use the French's ...

Made this last night, it was delicious. My family loved it. I did not make the salad with it as I had lots of sides left over from Thanksgiving that I just reheated. The mushroom gravy with thyme was a great change to the usual gravy. I am saving this recipe for next year! Only thing I will do differently next year, remember to get lots of t...
