i absolutely love this sandwich recipe! i do use a little less lemon, like others have said, and reduce, reduce, reduce!!! So delicious! I love the spicy balance!

I have made these muffins so many times, they are always perfect for parties or get-togethers. A fun addition is sauteeing some jalapenos in with my onions for an extra kick. I made them for a "friends"giving event last year, and was requested to bring them again this season! Great recipe!

i made this last night, and it was a hit!! i followed the recipe EXACTLY, but i also add 1 teaspoon of ground cloves, and 1 teaspoon of ground allspice in addition. i also cut the apples into chunks instead of slices and baked the entire thing in a 9x13 baking dish, and it turned out just perfect!!
