I made this recipe two times and it came out horrible. However, the third time was the charm, but I had to make adjustments. I decreased the brown sugar to 3/4 cup and added 1/2 cup of water and 1 teaspoon of salt. I used digital thermometer. The key is patience. It took 1 hour and 50 minutes after the butter melted for the toffee to reach 3...
