Reviewed Mary Alice's Hoagie Dip

Sep 21, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

You MUST try this dip! It tastes exactly like a hoagie...which sounds strange but is truly awesome. I host a Monday Night Football party every week, and it's almost annoying how often this dip gets requested! You can play around with the ingredients and make your own customized hoagie, though I usually stick pretty close to the original recipe."

Reviewed Gazpacho

Loved it! For years I've tried to replicate the gazpacho at The Dodging Duck Brewhaus n Boerne, TX--this recipe is just about spot on. It looks like many people here didn't care for the cumin but, in my book, that is what makes this dish; the cumin adds a little something to the back end, which helps against all the acidity. Also, I added quite"

Reviewed Pepper-Jack Chicken With Succotash

Aug 9, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

The chicken was tasty, but the durn filling all came out. I should have read the reviews first--next time I will definitely use some string/twine. I loved the lime juice on the succotash--a very nice choice. I don't like lima beans, so I used edamame instead. Turns out, just 'cause two things LOOK alike does not mean they TASTE the same! I used w...

Reviewed Buffalo-Chicken Macaroni and Cheese

The flavor was great, but it wasn't creamy like mac-n-cheese should be so I had to dock it a star. Also, do NOT cut your cheddar into cubes or, by the time it finally melts, your family will have already ordered a pizza and gone to bed. I highly recommend shredding your cheddar. But I would try it again.""

Reviewed Hummus and Grilled Vegetable Wrap

Aug 8, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

LOVED THIS WRAP!!!! It seems so simple, but gosh darn it's good! I used Dave Lieberman's hummus recipe instead of using store-bought, which I highly recommend. Since pine nuts were awfully pricey, I used sunflower seeds instead. And I added turkey bacon, a little bit of goat chese, and tomatoes. All of that was great, but what makes this dish i...

Reviewed Hummus Dip

Aug 8, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I keep craving hummus, so I thought it was time I tried making my own. I was curious about this recipe 'cause it doesn't use tahini, which I cannot find in my town. It was delicious! However, I advise you to let it sit before serving--the flavors really came alive after a night in the fridge. I used the leftovers in the Hummus and Grilled Veggies...

Reviewed Grandma Moore's Creamed Corn

Jul 18, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This was so good! I added some poblano to it and took it to a barbecue. It's a good thing I kept tasting while I was cooking this dish, 'cause it was GONE by the time I loaded up my plate at the barbecue! If not for my little nibbles in the kitchen, I wouldn't have even gotten try it! I will make this again...and again...and again..."
