Reviewed Shrimp and Sausage Jambalaya

Very flavorful; however I had trouble with the rice as some others had. I used long grain rice and it took over an hour to cook and still did not soften all the way. I added more chicken stock as the sauce thickened while the rice was still hard. Any ideas how I can fix this problem?? "
