This recipe serves as a good base however I thought it needed more flavor. So I added more tomato paste, thyme and simmered everything in 2 cups of beef broth for 30 minutes until reduced. I also deglazed the veggies in some red wine and used ground turkey instead of beef. Turned out great!

I brown chicken legs first with salt and pepper, add garlic and then the soy and vinegar with a half a cup of water. No need to marinate since it soaks up all the flavor on the stove top. Add a little sugar and just let it cook. Thanks for the potato sugg"
