Reviewed succulent braised pork

Nov 6, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

Even better the next day! An inexpensive cut of pork, yet so tender. I took into account other reviews and added an extra carrot and chopped veggies into large dices. With the beef stock and red wine, the braising (2 1/2 hrs for our oven) caramelized the veggies and the flavor was amazing. If you enjoyed this recipe and you love Mexican food,...

So easy and delicious! Using a tenderizer, I lightly tenderized the chicken breasts, seasoned them with taco seasoning mix, fried and then cubed. For more heat, use freshly grated hot pepper jack cheese and add a small amount of sliced jalapenos (Mezzettas is our favorite). Another keeper, Ree!

Reviewed mama neely's baked beans

Jul 28, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

Thank you Pat and Gina for sharing Mama Neely's recipe! These beans were so easy to prepare and they were delicious. I wasn't sure what 'light' molasses was and all I had on hand (and have seen at the grocer's as well) was the 'full flavored dark' molasses. Because I was unsure, I added a little at a time. I ended up using the 1/2 cup measurement...

So-o good! I halved the recipe and with 2 cups of rice, it still made a lot for just us empty nesters. I omitted the turmeric and cayenne because I did not have that in the pantry, but it still was flavorful. I also added a can of black beans (rinsed). Once in the oven, I had to adjust the time to 20 minutes instead of 15...but, of course, it may...

We loved it! I seasoned 2 boneless chicken breasts and 2 thighs with taco mix seasoning and fried it in olive oil before shredding. The salsa was so delicious. I did add an extra serrano pepper and even that was not enough heat for us (next time it will be three peppers!). I will definitely make this easy salsa for enchiladas and burritos.

Reviewed Beef and Bean Burritos Recipe : Ree Drummond : Food Network

Apr 4, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

Because my husband and I do not include ground beef in our diet, I subbed ground turkey instead. AND because we are nesters, I made half the recipe and we had delicious leftovers for two more days. Even with halving the ingredients, the burritos were hefty. I used canned pinto beans instead of refried and added the cheese over the bean/meat layers...

Reviewed bbq pulled pork sandwich

Jan 31, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

I've made this recipe twice now and it is absolutely delicious! The second time I made it, I added the spice rub (minus the cayenne pepper) and left the pork in the fridge overnight. We found the flavor to be more enhanced. The BBQ sauce was delicious as well. Even though I omitted the cayenne pepper, I did add the 1/4 tsp pepper flakes (and a dash...

Reviewed Pork Carnitas

May 6, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

For Cinco de Mayo, I wanted to prepare a dish other than our usual enchiladas. My husband's favorite Mexican dish is carnitas and after searching many recipes, I am thrilled to say Melissa's recipe is now in my recipe book. It was so easy to prep and letting it sit in the crock pot for 9 hrs made it amazingly tender. It literally fell apart with"
