My Activity

Reviewed Creole Potato Salad

"My family is from Macon, Georgia, so I have been fortunate to be raised on all the southern flavors. None of the women in my family could tell you about measurements, they use the palm of their hand and words like "pinch" and "tad". When I found this one and tried it out, it was spot on, so at least I know how much now. My husband loves the Cajun "

Reviewed Pat's Famous Beef and Pork Chili

"Believe it or not payday equaled no ground pork anywhere, so I used a sweet Italian sausage and removed the casings and pinched it into tiny bits and threw it in....it was perfect with shredded chedar and a dab of sour cream. I will definately make it again.

Reviewed Traditional Southern Deviled Eggs

"I have to give this one the max review. My mother comes from Macon, Georgia and ask her or my grandmother how to make anything they can't tell me precise measurements....they use the old "little bit of this" method. When I found this one it tasted exactly like my mother's deviled eggs, so it can't get any better than that.

Reviewed Eggnog Custard Pie

"The texture came out kind of like a flan, which is my husband's favorite desert anyway, but it tasted just like eggnog. I definately will add this to the recipes and make it again.

Reviewed Gingerbread Boys and Girls

"This was so easy to make. I even made a double batch and let the kids in on cutting and icing them. Baking them gave that perfect "It's Christmas time" aroma. There was nothing to complain about with these cookies...easy, great baking aroma and perfect gingerbread memories flavor.

Reviewed Momma Neely's Pot Roast

"njmcgrath_124,
Try a Merlot. When my husband drinks wine he likes that best so when I did my shopping for this recipe I grabbed a merlot, which is not too bitter, not too sweet, and more importantly not a bank breaker. I thought it really brought all the flavors together nicely and didn't leave a sharp scent while cooking. And by the way, while I am at it....yea this is going in the recipe cards as my favorite potroast. I didn't even have a problem getting the usual picky eaters to clean their plate.

Reviewed Get Yo' Man Chicken

"My husband Loves spicy and so the spicier the better. So I tried this chicken with Zataran's Dirty Rice and it was a perfect match, in my opinion. He liked it so much he told me to print this recipe because he wanted me to make it again.
