Reviewed Buttermilk Biscuits

"I have a "thing" for biscuits.....and I thought I had finally mastered the technique of buttermilk biscuit making (after years and years of attempts), until I tried these! Light and tender as can be....and pretty easy to whip up. I guess all those DDD visits paid off for Guy cause these are winner winner! I didnt even have cake flour and just used all AP flour and they were still amazing......the sea salt on top is a nice touch.
Thanks, Guy! "

Reviewed Potato-Crusted Pork Chops with Pesto Sauce

"This was a really delicious pork rib recipe! The only change I made was that I ran out of potato chips, so I used about 1 cup of Fun-ions(spelling?) too. Wow! What a fantastic crust it made!!! The pork came out juicy and done to perfection. I will surely make this one again and again. Thanks Food Network Kitchens!

Reviewed In It To Win It Stuffed Pupusas

"These were very tasty!!! I have never had a traditional Pupusa either, but whatever you want to call these, they are great! I suppose that Guy was doing his own spin on a traditional dish and that may make it un-authentic indeed, but nonetheless, these were a delicious and portable party treat. Thanks for another winner, Guy!

Reviewed Beef Short Ribs

"Delicious!! Although it took me longer than I had anticipated to make, it was well worth it and not hard at all....careful though - it makes a ton of sauce! I could barely fit it all in my LeCruset. Hubby and I enjoyed it last night with mashed potatoes and we will have the leftovers tonite with egg noodles after I reduce the sauce a wee bit more. I will surely make this again! Thanks Ina!

About Me

I am a craft designer by day, chef wannabe by nite. I love to cook and try new techniques all the time. I also like to paint, read, watch Survivor and Dexter and, of course, Food Network!!! I am married to my awesome love Pete who gets to taste the best (and worst) of all my experiments :)

Favorite Foods

I love to cook almost anything, but am trying to master the ultimate fried chicken on the planet.....I am super close!!

I guess I am most known for my hummus, my mojitos (won a party throwdown once!) and my garlic shrimp scampi.

My favorite local restaurant (now that Louis XVI in Patchogue is closed) is VERACE - its an authentic Italian restaurant in my town that is to die for. We go way too often for my waistline. (Its there somewhere!) Then there is Gossmans in Montauk who serve up the best Lobsters ever!! We go every year for our anniversary. My favorite NYC restaurant would have to be a tie between Craft Steak and Bar Americain.....drool..... oh to be as great as Tom or Bobby! Maybe one day...........
