About Me

i'm married (again) i love to cook.cooked pro. off and on for 35 years.my son inherrited my love of cooking. i love playing with new ingrediants.for fun i love to bbq i have a 55 gallen hex shaped smoker. bobby flay bring it on(little bit of a fantasy there) food in general is my inspiration. my no.one pet peeve is working with faulty equipment( this includes faulty people). when i was 12 my grandpa who was a farmer & r.r.worker taught me 2 things 1st "if it aint broke dont fix it" and "you can't make a dead horse work". i did not understand the 2nd one untill i had my first job and had to work with a couple of those dead horses.lol    my best food is my favorite food. i don't care who you are, you can't beat a good batch of 1" thick bone in pork chops smoked with a blend of apple red oak and mesquite. try it its an awsome blend(equeal parts apple wood, mesq, and a couple pieces of oak. white oak works but the red has a slightly different aspect to the flavor .i put the apple on straight away then the oak and finish with the mesquite as to mixing it together and blending it all at one time ....a totally different flavor.
