"Fixed this for Christmas Dinner, was one of the best turkeys we have ever had. We cooked it in a roaster, instead of the oven, and it still came out perfect and very juicy. The only difference was the skin didnt brown, but that really isnt a bad thing. Will put it in oven next time to brown skin then transfer over to the roaster, so not a big deal.
The gravy was wonderful, everyone loved it. The recipe doesnt say to remove the turkey neck, so that might something to put in there with the removal of the sage leaves.
Was very good overall with no compliants from no one, and several getting seconds.
