Reviewed Mac-n-Smoked Gouda with Cauliflower Recipe : Rachael Ray : Food Network

2 days ago on FoodNetwork.com

I read reviews before making this and saw everyone commenting it was bland. So I made sure to add more cayenne and also I did it with normal gouda not smoked. So I used smoked paprika instead of sweet or normal. Also I added a couple chopped up sauteed portobello mushrooms to give it some 'meatiness' to it which was great. Just make sure you add...

This was moist, delicious, easy, amazing! I have another meatloaf I always make and love but I think this one is going to take over. I halved the recipe, used 2 eggs (instead of 1.5 eggs) and that was fine. I added a bit of garlic to the onions and a squeeze of siracha sauce to the whole mix. Oh her mustard roasted potatoes went with it perfectly....

Amazing! Especially the croutons. This barely makes enough for 4 so double it if you have more than 4 for sure. OH I did NOT add the extra butter at the end, totally unnecessary. Also I did a few more sprinkles of pepper and nutmeg than it asked for. Loved it so much!

oh also i did 1 can of sliced mushrooms and only 1 package of chicken tenders which was only like 6 or 7 of them. 10 would be too much I think. and i didn't use pearl onions, i just chopped an onion and cooked it before adding the peas/carrots.

I am a bit of a chicken pot pie snob, I love the stuff. And this was the best one I think I've ever had. Seriously. I did 1 can of chicken broth so that is under 2 cups and I did 3/4 cup cream. Also I did almost 1/2 tsp of thyme as well. And I did what everyone else said which was to add the spices/herbs to the sauce later instead of onto the...

I've probably made this over a dozen times in just a year, we love it so so much! My biggest tip, don't bother finely chopping your veggies, you just throw it all in a food processor at the end. And I don't wait for meat to finish browning before I throw in the veggies since they might need a bit of extra cooking time since roughly chopped. Als"

So delicious and so impressive! Also super easy to make. I blanched the asparagus and mixed the cheeses, etc together ahead of time, also baked the crust ahead of time. Then just before the party I put it all together and popped it in the oven for 20 minutes and it was done! Served it with a bed of arugula with a simple vinaigrette on top and "

I didn't do the olives because I'm not a fan. It def tastes great and is easy but I think it needs a bit more of something - maybe a pinch of cumin or maybe curry powder! Also I put some agave syrup in the egg wash to sweeten up the dough a tiny bit. Will def do again, loved the idea of the french loaf dough - you can stuff that with anything!""
