Reviewed Chicken-Zucchini Alfredo

Jun 27, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Easy to make, but it does take a little more time than I like to spend during the week. I'll probably save it for a weekend recipe. It reheats well, which is a plus, because I send my hubby to work with leftovers everyday. I have added shaved broccoli florets to this recipe too, at the last minute, just to get in some more veggies."

Reviewed Chile con Queso

Apr 21, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I like that it didn't get that cheese-skin that quesos often have, but there was something missing that I just couldn't put my finger on. I made the recipe as directed. Maybe next time I'll double the veggies & saute them before I add them to the cheese."

Reviewed Gingerbread and Lemon Curd Trifle with Blackberry Sauce

Dec 25, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Fantastic recipe for Christmas! The flavors go perfectly together & this is the BEST gingerbread cake I have ever had -- it's even better the next day. When I make this again, which I definitely will, I will half the gingerbread & blackberry sauce. Great recipe Bobby Flay!""

Reviewed Blueberry Scones with Lemon Glaze

Sep 18, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Super easy to make & quite the breakfast treat. Will make them again & again, though I will cut the glaze recipe in half. The hardest thing about this recipe is waiting for them to cool so that you can glaze them, then waiting again for the glaze to set. Yummy!""

Reviewed Rocky Road Fudge

Pretty easy to make - my 8 year old made it after I measured everything, and tasty, too."

Reviewed Traditional Southern Deviled Eggs

Apr 26, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

It was pretty good, but what deviled egg isn't? I added 2 tbsp. crumbled bacon & I used spicy mustard to tune the recipe more to my taste."

Reviewed Mama's Fried Cream Corn

Dec 6, 2010 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

After reading so many rave reviews, I was disappointed with the recipe. It just tasted like corn cooked in bacon grease. I was expecting it to be better than that.
