My Activity

Reviewed Green Beans with Lemon and Garlic

"Kid Approved! This was so easy and so yummy! I tend to cook my greens a little more than recipes call for because of my kids. My 15 month old has to have stuff more tender. He devoured them as well. As for my 6 1/2 year old - she was taking mine off of my plate! Then there was my 4 1/2 year old who needs lots of coaxing to eat anything green, she ate them right up after the first bite - and liked them too. I left out the red pepper flakes and black pepper due to my kids but even my husband loved them without the heat. I used organic green beans and zested one smallish whole lemon (instead of measuring the zest. Next time I'll try them using Earth Balance (vegan buttery spread instead of the butter but this will definitely be a staple recipe in our home.
