My Activity

Reviewed Chocolate and Peanut Butter Volcano Cake

"This cake received rave reviews from the family. It is not your ordinary cake, I am keeping the chocolate sauce on the side just so the leftovers don't become to soggy. I did have to bake this longer than the recipe. I watched Paula take her's out of the oven and it was medium to dark brown on top so I kept mine in the oven longer to achieve the s"

Reviewed Whipped Potatoes

"This is not your ordinary whip them up quick recipe. It took a little time, but the results was excellent. A few things they left out of the recipe that was on the show. You can soak the potatoes for a few hours instead of overnight, and scoop them out of the pot instead of pouring (you pour the starch that you have soaked out onto the potato that""

Reviewed Mini Crawfish Profiteroles with Citrus Butter Sauce

"I made this recipe just because I wanted to do something special for my husband. It was a great choice. It is rated difficult, but it was not hard to do at all. You just need to read the recipe and take your time. The profiteroles were excellent. The leftovers I am putting chocolate in. I did not have crawfish so I chopped up shrimp. It would be e""

Reviewed Bacon Pimento Macaroni and Cheese

"This recipe does make quite a bit. I put mine in a 9 x 13 pan and after 6 of us eating there was 1/3 of it left. My group was not overly fond of this because there was left overs! I don't think I've ever said something had to much cream cheese till this. I would only use 1 8 oz. package of cream cheese if I make this again. I did like the touch o""

Reviewed Cherry Almond Clafouti

"I'm not sure if the recipe is correct or not. Took much longer to bake than the 30 minutes. After looking at other recipes for clafouti I would increase the flour to 1/2 c. The batter was more crepe like with only 1/4 c. It is not the prettiest of desserts but it was tasty and very light and very simple to do."

Reviewed Crispy Parmesan Biscuits

"These turned out very good. My husband suggested adding some chopped bacon to the biscuit. I agree with the previous review. Especially if you use the fine grated Parmesan you need pay attention to the weight. Otherwise it would be to much and dry out your biscuit. I did like adding the cornmeal. Made it just a little bit different. "

Reviewed Cast Iron Skillet Potato Cake

"I guess I don't know quite what I was expecting from this recipe. It was lacking some pizazz. But it did have a nice presentation. Maybe make some sour cream sauce to put on top of it or cheese. Took to much time to just be fried potatoes. "

Reviewed Pork Steaks with Homemade Barbecue Sauce, Texas Style Yukon Gold Potato Frites, and Grilled Chayote

"I was kind of skeptical about putting the ginger in the sauce but it gave the sauce a bit of an Asian flair to it. Something different than your ordinary run of the mill barbecue sauce. I might add just a bit red pepper flakes the next time just to add a little heat. This would be an excellent sauce for chicken. Made a great meal. "
