Reviewed Company Pot Roast

"I made this delicious pot roast last night for my family and everyone loved it. I didn't have the chuck roast I had an eye round roast on hand, the meat was still tender and juicy. I was very impressed with the sauce as it was not the traditional gravy of flour and fat, the veggies were delish! My family said this was a keeper, so I have added t"

Reviewed Grilled Pork Tenderloin

"Made this tonight for my family had to double everything for the men in the family. Absolutely loved the flavors, the simplicity of this marinade is a winner. Reviewed Country Ham

"We purchased our 20lb ham at a little shop in Culpeper, VA, called Calhoun's, their hams have been served at the White House. We soaked our ham for 3 days due to its size to add moisture and I followed Alton's recipe for cooking but chose to let it sit for a day, removed the rind, leaving at 1/2 inch of fat, I then chose to add a glaze just to ""

"Turkey Trot time! I have been using this recipe for 10 years now, never once has it failed. The bird is moist, the skin succulent and the guests well stuffed!! Reviewed Spicy Tangerine Beef

"My youngest son saw this on TV and said Mom you have to make.I made this this evening for dinner for my family of six, 5 men and me, the only girl. I made steamed jasmine rice b/c I had forgotten to purchase a couple of the other ingredients for the pork fried rice from this same episode. I also used flap meat as my local store did not have tri-tip and flank steak was a bit expensive, especially for the amount I had to prepare. There was not a drop left on the platter. I have made several of Guy's recipes and all are great but so far this one is the best. I will make this again. Guy keep on giving us great recipes. "

About Me

I am a glorified foodie.  I have tried so many reciepes on the web site that my husband thinks I'm a real chef. I have two 3 inch three ring binders full of recipes I have printed.  I get inspritation from Giada, Ina, Bobby, Rachel, Tyler, Guy and Emeril. My favorite phrase is mangia! My family inspires me to cook. I lost my job a couple of years ago and recently inherited all of my Grandmother's and Mother's cookbooks so I am always perusing cookbooks to find "something different".  My husband and middle son are avid hunters, so I am always looking for venison recipes.  My son felled a huge black bear this year so I am searching for bear recipes.

Favorite Foods

Being of Italian descent I love pasta, but I also love steak, pork , chicken, venison, beef and fish.  My most famous dish is shrimp and scallops sauteed in butter, then tossed in a light alfredo sauce served over linguini, my 18 year old son LOVES it. My favorite restaurant is an Italian restaurant in the town where I live. Ristorante Renato, I would love to go to Guys Tex Wasabi, or one of Bobby Flay's restaurants.
