Reviewed Mamaw's Creamed Turkey over Toast

Dec 4, 2014 in on Food.com

This was good. I made it with leftover Thanksgiving turkey. As is, it was a bit bland. So I added hot curry powder, garlic salt, pepper and chopped fresh thyme and Italian parsley and used real butter in lieu margarine. Not a fan of the fake stuff. That took it up to delicious! Great comfort food and a great way to use up leftover holiday turkey."

These are absolutely the best! SO easy to make and relatively healthy using the maple syrup. Better for you than white sugar. I make them and toss them in salads, eat them as snacks while watching a movie or sprinkle cayenne or cinnamon on them and serve them at parties or give as gifts during the holidays. SUPERB!!

These were exceptionally good! both times I've made them. First time making them, I didn't have enough white chocolate so I cut up some Mounds candy bars and added them with the white chocolate. Ya, I know, sounds weird but O.M.G. they were good. The white chocolate/chocolate and coconut combo was SO tasty. My husband couldn't get enough of them....

dumplings are all in how you prepare them. If they are not light and fluffy, it's not the recipe fault. If your dumplings come out heavy, then the dough was overworked and overcooked.. Just an FYI

I alternate between this recipe and Giada's roast turkey with Herbes de Provence, each year at Thanksgiving. One year I made both of them when I had a large dinner party. This stuff is amazingly good. My husband is from Chicago, born and raised and we now live on the central coast in Calif. He misses his beloved hot Italian beef sandwiches and giardiniera. I found this recipe and he gave it a huge thumbs up. I make this every few weeks and we always have some on hand. It is so good on scrambled eggs and plain toast...

Bada Bing! these are amazing. My Chicago born and raised husband and Father-in-Law gave these a big thumbs up. I found it! They are easy to make...

This was very tasty. I loved the garlic and herb rub. I used a 6lb pork roast and let it cook for about 2 hrs. It was very tasty but I honestly think next time I will use bacon instead of the pancetta. I think the bacon will give it a bit more flavor. i also marinated it for about 6 hrs. Served with shredded roasted brussel sprouts and mashed garlic...

Excellent recipe for pulled pork. Most reviewers on here didn't like this vinegar based BBQ sauce because they are used to the sweet style BBQ sauce or a store bought bottled sauce. The amount of vinegar IS correct! I've had North Carolina BBQ where the sauce had even more vinegar and less sugar, it's all based on what region of North Carolina you"
