Reviewed Onion Dip from Scratch

"Great recipe. Actually the very first one i ever did from Good Eats. It was a huge hit at the gathering I had made it for. It's even been specifically requested for family gatherings. Thanks again Alton.

Reviewed The Once and Future Beans

"After having this recipe i don't know how people can stand canned baked beans. Even after realizing how easy it is to make. And what makes this recipe even better is it makes the whole apartment smell amazing all day. And the beans keep for a good while in the refrigerator. I still have one helping left a week and a half after making it. Still tastes great. And on dutch ovens, they do indeed last forever. The one i used we had found in a shed in my parents back yard from when I was in boy scouts. Gave it a good scrub down with steel wool, re-cured it and it works excellent.

Reviewed The Oatiest Oatmeal Cookies Ever

"Did my first go around today with it. The only things I did differently was using store bought oat flour (Red Mill to be exact and used a hand mixer for creaming the butter and sugar. So I instead toasted 8 oz of rolled oats and just mixed the baking powder, cinnamon and salt in with the 8 oz of flour. They came out really good in my opinion. They were a little dry (but not bone dry but I also think I baked them for a little to long. (15-16 minutes because they werent browning on the edges. Its definately worth a try, even for novice bakers like me. I'll try modifying the recipe a little and see if i can get a more moist cookie.

About Me

I'm a single guy living with roommates.  My roommate turned me onto the food network, mainly Alton Brown.  I've made a bunch of the recipes and plan on making more.  The food network is probably one of the best networks on TV and one of the few reasons why I would still want cable.
