This was the best split pea soup I have ever made. It was easy to make and packed wiith flavor. I could not find smoked turkey at my grocery store, so I bought smoked ham hocks. I also added chicken stock and ham stock to the mix and the combination was awesome. I omitted the frozen peas because we don't like them. I will definitely make this...

I made this for my family and they absolutely loved it! I did not have polenta so I served it with mashed potatoes... I also used Panko (japanese) bread crumbs instead of regular bread crumbs. The kids loved this recipe and told me I need to make it again. "
