Reviewed Beef and Cheese Manicotti

Aug 1, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Loved it. Added sausage (because I had them). Was requested by the family, to add to our "make again" list. I stuffed full sized manicotti (FULL) and got 14 pcs. Is a great prep ahead dish, and leftovers are even better. If you don't use homemade sauce, use a good flavored one, it makes a huge difference."

Very Good. As far of turkey tetts go, I am used to a long pasta. This is a great alternative with the eggs noodles. I added a handful of peas and more seasoning, as others suggested. Also, I thought it was overkill with the chips - so I mixed panko and shredded Parmesan and topped with that. Turned out great!! Better the next day for sure!!""

Reviewed Chicken Fried Steak with Gravy

Great recipe! I will say that I used chicken stock and milk for the gravy. Adds more flavor! I don't cover my steaks with foil afterwards (they get soggy) instead keep on a rack over a sheet pan in a 200 degree oven. It keeps the coating crispy until your ready to serve.
Overall, a great go to for a inexpensive cut of meat.
Definately...

Really EASY and quick. Great weeknight meal. Most of the items I already had in the house. After making this many times, I still use a pound of pasta and a pound of shrimp but I make more sauce. As it cools a bit, the pasta can be coated and not pool at the bottom of the bowl. Make sure to toss before each serving""

Reviewed Perfect Pot Roast

Sep 27, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I have always made my roasts in a slow cooker. Yes browned and transfered, but they have never come out this tender, and taken 3x as long.
One word - AMAZING!!
There are 3 teenage boys (4 including hubby) and me. There were not only no leftovers, but they were fighting over who got seconds and who went without. It's not like it...

Great flavor....I love the combination of raspberry and chocolate! Easy and kid friendly too. My 12 year old makes this himself. We don't use nuts though, even though we love almonds, they juat didn't do anything for the dish."

Tasted great! Even my 12 year old loved it. He said he hated vegetarian food (unless it's this kind of vegetarian food) ha!
It really doesn't need the rice..next time I'll serve solo.
I agree with shopaholic though...the cost of all the veg was higher than I would normally spend for one meal."

After reading what other reviewers have posted, I added the chili flakes, bought italian "seasoned" ground turkey, and made sure I browned the turkey well enough to develop flavor. Family loved it! Made with the Shroom rice and that was great too. As for those who thought it lacked flavor...you must not of let it cook off long enough, or season as"

Great dish! I added a bit of leftover rendered pancetta. Added another element of texture/flavor without overpowering the basil.
