After reading the comments I used the entire block of pitted dates I had, 375 grams, just over 1 1/2 cups, increased the water to about 3/4 cup and added 2 teaspoons of orange zest and some almond extract. They smell absolutely delicious, and I'm sure they'll taste even better, just waiting for them to cool now! Thanks for the recipe! : )"

Very good glaze, sets up nice and fast. I made a couple changes, I made half a recipe and used whipping cream and only 1/8 teaspoon of vanilla. I would make this glaze again : )"

Yummy!! I made a few changes including leaving out the cardamon, increasing vanilla to 1 1/2 teaspoons, and leaving out the raisins and topping them with additional rolled oats before baking. They smell amazing and I would definitely make them again!

I made a half recipe and they were delicious! I did make a few changes after reading the comments, brushed them with eggwash and topped them with poppy seeds and dried caramelized onions, I didn't turn them over at all and they finished baking in 30 minutes. Next time I make these I would make the full recipe : )"
