Reviewed Boiled Potatoes

"Thanks for bringing us delicious intermediate recipes, EASY ones like this, and for all the extra tips you give us. For the naysayers who brought this recipe's rating down simply because they were offended due to its simplicity, you are very rude, and inappropriately rating recipes. I have been cooking for decades, and consider myself to be a good cook. Believe it or not, I've never made boiled red or new whole potatoes because I don't like potatoes (and white potatoes are very low in nutrition.) Besides, there are many young, new cooks among the readers!

Reviewed Steakhouse Steaks

"Went all over town looking for Fleur De Sel & couldn't find it. Wikipedia told me it was on Amazon. Who knew? Afraid to screw up expensive steaks for New Year's dinner using sea salt from Kroger, I've invested in real Fleur de Sel so as to not second-guess how much salt to use. Fleur de Sel grains are very large - larger than kosher - and not as salty as table salt or kosher salt. I did the math on each item, and purchased the "Le Sauneir De Camargue Fleur De Sel Sea Salt" brand because it is the most cost effective. (It's all pricey! over $1/oz As a bonus, I recognize the canister as the brand that Ina uses. Ina is my favorite chef on Food Network, hands down!

Reviewed Roasted Butternut Squash Soup and Curry Condiments

"There are so many butternut squash soup recipes that I couldn't decide which to choose. I decided on Ina's because her recipes are so good. Other recipes say to cook veggies in the stock; she says roast them. My soup turned out delicious of course, but I had one problem. I cannot get the smoothness to it that I want despite running the veggies through a food processor twice. Some of my onion & apple edges were crisply roasted. Probably the problem. ANYONE ELSE HAVE THIS HAPPEN? OR KNOW WHY? I did opt to omit the curry & use a dash of cinnamon, nutmeg, and chipotle pepper instead.

"There are so many butternut squash soup recipes that I couldn't decide which to choose. I decided on Ina's because her recipes are so doggone good. Other recipes say to cook veggies in the stock; she says roast them. That sounded like it would add a delicious "roasting" flavor; and I believe it did. My soup turned out delicious of course, but I had one problem. I cannot get the smoothness to it that I want despite running the veggies through a food processor twice. Some of my onion and apple edges were crisply roasted. I bet that's the problem. Anyone else know, or have this problem?
I must admit I opted to omit the curry and use a dash of cinnamon, nutmeg, and chipotle pepper instead.
