My Activity

Reviewed Caramelized Grape Pie

"Easy yes, tasty yes, but I prefer a dessert that holds together when served. Maybe made individually in ramekins would work best for me.

Also not sure how hard or soft the Carmel topping should be? Mine was too hard to spoon/scoop through easily, and not hard enough for a crunch. Hum, would like to see the episode again. (I boiled for probably"

Reviewed Thai Meatballs

"Yummy meatballs, tastes like ShuiMai without the wrappers. Very easy, goes great with Big Daddys ginger wings. These will be served at a baby shower. Sadly no Thai (or sweet basil) available at the store this week. Not a fan of cilantro so that was omitted as well. Peanut sauce using natural peanut butter had a weird consistancy, but I am going wi"

Reviewed Ginger Wings with Peanut Dipping Sauce

"THANK YOU BIG DADDY! We loved them! Best ever! Keeper. Will be making these for our daughter's baby shower. Rather than bake, my husband put them on the smoker 40 minutes at 350. (Did not attempt the peanut sauce as we have our own). "

Reviewed Roasted Pecan and Herb-Crusted Salmon

"Easy and beautiful and tastes wonderful. A go to dinner after work, as well as parties. Used whatever veggies I have on hand. Never seem to have fennel, but no big deal. Or skip the veggies and serve on a bed of lettuce or in a salad. ""

Reviewed Top Secret Chocolate Cookies

"I loved these cookies and so did everyone who ate them. I did not have problems and the dough lasted in the refrigerator for weeks. I did not bother to roll them into balls, just placed the slices on the sheet, and dipped both sides into raw sugar. Yum!

Reviewed Country-Fried Pork Nuggets

"Just made the sweet potato nachos (from memory). My guess is that it is not posted, because the sweet potato chips just do not hold up, but the nachos had good flavor. Our chips became soggy after broiling them with the topping. Next time - and there will be a next time, I will make the meat mixture(ground beef, onion, garlic tomato paste, chilpotle peppers is what we used)in a broiler proof pan-(cast iron) then after the meat and seasoning is browned, top with cheese and broil until cheese is melted. As far as the sweet potato chip directions- do a search "sweet potoato chips". As the meat seasoning is hot/spicy you do not have to make spicy sweet potato chips for this recipe. This was a great addition to the Packer/Bears game. Good luck on the nachos and Packers at the superbowl! I hope this helps.
