Reviewed Lemon Chicken with Croutons

Oct 7, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Outstanding bird. The chicken was juicy, and delicious with the croutons. My kids gobbled it up, and said I make the best chicken in the world! The one tip I would add is to check the internal temperature of the chicken with an instant read thermometer. I didn't, and my chicken was a tiny bit pink next to the bone. I will make this again, for"

This one knocks chicken out of the park! I actually did this on the grill, roasting the chicken on the side of the grill without the burner on. You have to keep an eye on the bacon, because it sometimes started to burn. I just took the bacon off when it was crisp. The chicken is SO juicy and flavorful. I served it by quickly sauteing some swi"

I served this at a garden brunch, and everyone raved. I made two. In the first, I substituted parmesan and swiss, added chopped ham, and omitted the spinach. In the second, I used mexican blend cheese and added green chili's instead of spinach. I also substituted low fat vegenaise for the mayo. I thought they both tasted great, but my daughter...

This was delicious. I wasn't sure I would like it, as the glaze sounded a little strange, but it works. I followed the recipe exactly. My kids devoured it. This is now my new meatloaf recipe!"

Reviewed Grilled Salmon Sushi-Rice Bowl

May 21, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

My children said this was the best dinner I ever made. I prepared it for a week night dinner, and revised the recipe a little to make it easier. I didn't make the sushi rice, I just cooked short grain rice in a rice cooker. Also, I substituted a little horseradish for the wasabi. It turned out great, and this will now be one of my staple dinne"

Reviewed Chicken Pot Pie Turnovers

May 16, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Simply the best rendition of a pot pie I have ever tasted. And it was, in fact, really easy! I substituted a little poultry seasoning for the thyme (just a few shakes), and I thought the flavors were just right. My 16 year old daughter raved, asked me to make them again, this week, and asked if she could invite her boyfriend over. I'm smiling "

I made this dip for the super bowl, along with chili. It was really good. The only thing I would add is that it makes a huge amount. MIne actually filled two bread bowls. Next time I'll cut the recipe in half.

Reviewed Grilled Chicken with Brie and Baby Spinach Salad

Nov 30, 2010 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I liked this, but my teenagers, who have fairly sophisticated palates really hated it. I was surprised, because the reviews were so favorable, and they usually like what I cook from food network. It does look really pretty on the platter, although the brie looks a little funny, never really melts down. I won't make it again.
