Reviewed Sweet and Savory Root Vegetable Stuffing

Nov 22, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Thanks, Giada! This stuffing was delicious. I was a little wary of the Granny Smith apples (thinking they might be too tart) I almost went with a different apple, but I am so glad I didn't. This stuffing had a wonderful balance of flavors. It was also easy to make. It was very well received at my Thanksgiving table this year. (Thanks, also, for th"

I just test drove this recipe. I noticed that the instructions for the filling called for salt, but salt was not listed in the ingredients.(I added a scant 1/4 teaspoon.) I wish I had heeded the suggestions of previous reviews and added more spices. Nutmeg would have definitely improved the flavors. The persimmon and marscarpone added a very nice"

Nov 23, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I always assumed pot-pies were too hard to make so I never attempted them, but after watching this episode I realized I had been wrong. Also, using cooked (roasted) turkey and pre-made pie dough removed the more labor intensive parts of this recipe. (Reading the previous reviews of how great the homemade pie-crust is, I will have to give that a t...

This looked so good and it was actually dinner time when this episode aired. I did not have the energy to go get have broccoli OR pine nuts OR bowtie pasta. I made massive substitutions substituted with asparagus, toasted almond slivers and regular spaghetti noodles. It worked well. It's that lemony sauce that does it! Next time I will try the...

Tasty, easy and satisfying. Having a heavy, cast iron pan helps you get good browning. The 'hash' recipe goes so perfectly with the sweet, spicy chicken."

I agree with 'doxi' from Greensburg, PA --Don't let the crepe part deter you from this recipe: I knew I wouldn't have the time to make the crepes, so I, too, used pasta shells. I'm sure the crepes make it extra special, but how super delicious was it anyway."

This was such a nice change of flavor. I love Indian spices and this was very easy/quick to make. I have no basis for comparison, but I had an expectation for it to taste more savory. Wondering if using higher quality paprika (or more?) would give it a smokier flavor. Serving it over basmati rice could bring in that nutty flavor. I'd intend to make...

I'm making this again as a side for Turkey Day. My leftovers from the first time I made it held up beautifully so it would make a good make-ahead and reheat side dish. I highly recommend you make this with the "Kabocha" pumpkin (japanese) like she did on her show. It's worth it if can get your hands on one. The texture of kabocha (rough pronunciation:...
