I helped a newbie make her first pie. I chose this recipe because she has fresh lemons in her backyard right now, and I trusted Alton so much that I didn't read the reviews. Big mistake. We followed the recipe exactly and were also among those who ended up with a soupy mess. The flavor was excellent, but something is off in either the measurements...

Very creamy and a nice contrast with the crispy Ritz topping. Next time I would add a little more of the seasonings and some salt (I added none besides the pasta cooking water in fear of all that cheese making the recipe too salty, but no fear necessary). The recipe halves easily, and I would recommend a cookie sheet underneath in case it bubbles "

Great recipe! I used twice the goat cheese and no cream cheese and loved the results. I also reduced the broth to 1 c. since we're not big sauce people - just right. A great plus was it didn't dirty every pan in the kitchen.""

I stirred the spices in and used dried cranberries instead of raisins, because that's what I had on hand. Quite yummy - comfort food at it's best and quite easy, just a long bake time (but it smells so great!).
